Meet Tanya, the fly fishing fanatic who's been at it for years and still can't cast a line to save her life. She's a big fan of buying flies, but not because they're effective at catching fish; she just likes the shiny, pretty colors. She's known to be the "false hook queen" among her fishing buddies. Let's just say that if there's a tree branch or a rock nearby, Tanya's hook will find it.
Tanya's fishing philosophy is simple: she wants to catch as many fish as possible without breaking a sweat. Hiking to a fishing spot is a big no-no for her, as she'd rather save her energy for reeling in the big one (which, let's face it, doesn't happen very often). She's not a fan of fishing with her husband, as he tends to ruin the experience with his constant fishing advice.
Tanya is always trying to make new friends, whether they're fish, birds, or even the occasional squirrel. But if you want to invite her on a fishing trip, don't even think about telling her how difficult the hike is. Tanya has been fooled before, and she won't fall for it again.
Despite her lack of fishing skills and aversion to hiking, Tanya is a die-hard fly fisher who loves being out on the water. Just don't expect her to catch anything other than a tree branch or her own hat.

Let's meet Luis Vargas! The Know It All Fly Fisherman. He'll be happy to tell you everything you're doing wrong every time. He's been fly fishing since he was in the womb. Purveyor of every high end fishing product there is! If it's overpriced and top of the line, he's got it! Around here he's known as quite the Master Baiter. You'll rarely find him working, and he's always ready to grab his rod and get it wet. He takes the bumper sticker "Why work when you can be fishing?" quite literally.
Luis thinks fish tremble at the mention of his name, maybe that's why they never bite his hook. Holds more fishing licenses in more states and countries than all the rest of us combined. He brings a vast wealth of knowledge gained from his massive library of fly fishing literature and he's ready to completely overthink every adventure. But, you can bet, just like the Boy Scouts, he's always prepared.
